The Tetey Lodge is located in the peaceful little town of Orosi in Costa Rica’s most beautiful valley, the Orosi Valley. We are a pleasant hour’s drive to the south-east of San Jose, through Cartago.

There are many activities for the visitor. Come stay with us and enjoy what the Orosi Valley has to offer. The Irazú Volcano is a short trip from Tetey Lodge. Tapanti Park is just a few kilometers away, where there are hiking trails, rainforests and waterfalls to explore. Tapanti Park, with its original rainforest is also one of the best areas in all of Costa Rica for birdwatching and viewing wildlife.

In this beautiful part of Costa Rica one can also go trout fishing, river rafting, horseback riding, visit not one, but two hotsprings. We offer tours of all these attractions.

The Orosi Valley is world-famous for the production of excellent coffee. Coffee farms are everywhere! Check our Tour Page for info on how you can tour one of the most famous coffee plantations in Costa Rica.

Nearby are the ruins of Costa Rica’s oldest church and in Orosi there is the oldest colonial church in continuous use.

Visit the world famous Lankester Botanical Garden to view over 800 species of Costa Rica’s orchids.
