Orosi’s Valley has been characterized as being one of the richest zones for sustainable coffee production. The Orosi region has a 100 year tradition of growing coffee and the community has developed around the growing of coffee. The area is characterized by the deepness of the soil, its humidity and its exuberant vegetation. The coffee is grown at altitudes from 1000m to 1400 m.

Leaving the hotel we will take the road to one of the coffee plants famous for its delicious exported coffee, Las Chucaras Coffee Plant, located at 4600 ft, with a spectacular view of Izarú Volcan. Here the delicious Orosi coffee is prepared for export to countries like Canada, Japan, United States, Italy and others. You will be educated about the coffee plants, the picking process, drying and roasting of the coffee bean and the enviromentally friendly way in which they grow coffee. You will be able to take a walk around the coffee plantations and the processing plant. We will finish with a delicious typical lunch and a relaxing bath in the thermal waters of the coffee plant. In addition we can not forget of taking some pictures of the wonderful landscape which surrounds the Las Chucaras Coffee Plant. We end our journey with a return to the Tetey Hotel.
