Leaving the Hotel, we will take the road up the hill to Cartago, with our first stop at the Orosi Lookout Point where there is a magnificent view of the Reventazon Valley. After 15 minutes enjoying the scenic wonders of the area, we continue our trip to the imposing Irazu Volcano, which is one of the world's hidden treasures. At the top there are great views of the crater, the valley and part of the big metropolitan area. Be sure to bring your camera! The guide will tell the story of the “Coloso Brumoso", its craters and last eruptions.

After about an hour at the top, we will retrace our route back to the Orosi Valley. However, a "walk to the volcano” would not be complete without a visit to the Patrona of los Costarricenses, La Negrita, Our Virgin of Los Angeles Basilica, where the history of the miracle that occurred in this place will be told. Next we travel to the Lankester Botanical Garden, one of the most important gardens in Costa Rica. It is visited by botanists from all over the world, and is a major stop for the tour companies that operate in our country. It was created for the study of the diverse species of flora that inhabit Costa Rica and is particularly known for its orchids, one of which is the "Guaria Morada”, the national flower of Costa Rica. After our visit to the Lankester Botanical Garden we return to the Hotel.
